Tendai has a MA in Applied Theatre from the University of Witwatersrand. Tendai works with various forms of theatre as a methodology to understand social issues. In particular, she used this approach to deal with post conflict reconstruction in Zimbabwe and domestic violence issues in Malawi. In these activities her work has focused on engagement with positive living women, conflict mediation amongst the youth and teaching children’s rights.
