Prior to joining the CSDG Knowledge Building and Mentoring Programme, Gihan worked with Save the Children-Sweden in Khartoum as a Programme Officer advocating for child rights and child protection as well as working voluntarily for the Sudanese Environment Conservation Society. Gihan graduated with a BA in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development (University of Khartoum) and a MA in Peace and Conflict Studies (European University for Peace Studies).
