Julieta Sevene has a Masters degree in International Relations from Oklahoma State University and a Bachelors’ degree in Political Science from NW Oklahoma State University. Over the past 6 years Julieta worked for different units of the United Nations Development Programme in Mozambique, most recently as a Coordination Officer (2012 to date) and Programme Analyst for Gender and HIV (2008 - 2012). Julieta has worked with Governments, Parliaments, civil society organizations and the academia in Africa. She has also undertaken advanced training in Gender, HIV and Human Rights.
Before joining the UN in Mozambique, she worked as International Programme Specialist and as a Research Assistant for the Centre of African Studies and Development at Oklahoma State University. Julieta is fluent in Portuguese and English.
