Salamatu Kemokai has a BA. in Geography from Njala University and a Post Grad. Diploma in Population Studies and Social Research from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone. She also has a Diploma in Environmental Journalism from the Institute of International Journalism, Berlin-Brandenburg, Germany. Salamatu served as an Information Associate at UNAIDS and as a Temporary Teaching Assistant, Njala University. She was a Radio Producer/Reporter at Search for Common Ground and a Mapping Officer at Statistics Sierra Leone. Salamatu represented UNAIDS in the UN Gender Technical Team and the UN Joint Team on AIDS, Sierra Leone. She was trained by the BBC World Service Trust in Reporting Transitional Justice and has participated in Community Conversations on Conflict Resolution.
