Sonja Theron has a BA in Journalism from the University of Pretoria (UP), South Africa. She also has a BA (Hons) in International Relations from the same institution. She has worked as a research assistant in the Department of Political Sciences at UP on issues relating to terrorism and foreign policy. She was also a junior lecturer in international relations theory and political sciences.
