Dominique Dryding has a Bachelor of Social Science in Politics, Economic History and Gender Studies from the University of Cape Town. She has also completed her Bachelor of Social Science Honours Degree in Justice and Transformation from the same institution. Her thesis focused on the gendered nature of the Kenyan Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission Report.
Since graduating in 2014, Dominique has been interning for Ndifuna Ukwazi, a Cape Town based Non-Governmental Organisation dedicated to improving the lives and living conditions of socially and economically disenfranchised citizens of Cape Town through advocacy, research and social justice campaigns. Dominique has therefore been involved in a wide range of research activities, ranging from safety and security, domestic violence and sanitation issues within informal settlement setting. In addition, Dominique has also run a number of gender equality workshops with young activists from townships across Cape Town.
