Soukaina HamiaSoukaina Hamia is a founding member of Idmaj Neighbourhoods Association where she served as President for 6 years. In addition to her work with Idmaj, Soukaina is Deputy Director of Sidi Moumen Cultural Center.
Idmaj is an NGO that protects women, at risk kids and vulnerable youth who come from the underserved and marginalized ranks of society and runs Sidi Moumen Cultural Center. A community center that offers daily activities to more than 570 members from the slums a safe place to help them avoid delinquency, drug addiction and extremism through various projects.

Soukaina Hamia holds a double major bachelor degree in ‘’Management et communication des Organisations’’ and French Literature from Hassan II University, and a Master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region from Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco. While undertaking her MA studies, Soukaina lived in Peshawar, Pakistan for months to do her field work and write a thesis entitled ‘’Can the Pashtun speak: A Critical Intervention in the Life and Politics of the Pashtuns in the Pakistan-Afghanistan border’’ 

She has previously worked as Country Manager of Stevens Stevens Initiative – World Business Chicago STEAMuseum Project, Head of mission at Tariq Ibnou Ziyad Initiative, Country Coordinator for CorpsAfrica Maroc, Assistant at the Hillary Rodham Clinton Center for Women's Empowerment, and CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) Project Coordinator at Seva Mandir Foundation in India.  

Soukaina is an alumnus of the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), an alumnus of the USIP Interfaith Dialogue with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and an IMF sponsored fellow at the IMF World Bank annual meeting in DC and Lima.
