The African Leadership Centre (ALC) congratulates former Director and mentor, Dr. Godwin Murunga, on his appointment as the new Executive Secretary of the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA). Dr Murunga was recently appointed as the 7th Executive Secretary to follow on from Dr Ebrima Sall. Dr Murunga takes on this post at a critical moment for both the academy and the continent, when more questions are being asked of academia to respond to the myriad challenges facing Africa. We, the ALC community are confident of the great contribution he will make to Social Science Research on the continent during his tenure.
The ALC wishes Dr. Murunga all the best in his new venture and we look forward to continuing our engagement with him in his new role.
