Wainaina Ian Mbugua

IT Assistant

Wainaina Ian Mbugua is a young and enthusiastic IT professional. He is currently the IT Assistant at the African Leadership Centre in Nairobi, where he excels in managing and supporting the organization's network infrastructure. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring smooth operations, repair and maintenance of computer hardware, installation software, data analysis, data visualization, providing user training on computer software and packages, and keeping staff updated on the latest technological trends.

In addition to his networking expertise, he possesses a diverse skill set. He is proficient in various programming languages, including Python, Java, C, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, enabling him to undertake system development, web development, and data analysis tasks. He is particularly adept at creating machine learning models and developing artificial intelligence applications. He is a graduate of Egerton University, where he earned his BSc. in Computer Science. Beyond his professional pursuits, Ian nurtures a passion for exploring new places and experiencing diverse cultures. He finds solace in traveling and embraces the opportunity to broaden his horizons. Additionally, he enjoys playing hockey during his leisure time, engaging in physical activity to maintain a balanced lifestyle.
